Accent lighting focusses on one particular object or area. Ambient lighting sets the mood of a place. Task lighting is meant for a specific purpose. This can include table lamps, ceiling pendants, desk lamps, etc.

Line

Lines serve as a visual guide of living space and help to define shapes and forms. They are of three kinds – vertical, horizontal, and dynamic. Vertical lines represent doors and windows while horizontal lines are featured along beds, chairs, tables, etc. Dynamic lines portray drama or action. They are angular or diagonal lines and are often seen on arrangements like stairs.

Form

The form represents the shape of the living space and along the items featured in that space. Shapes can be natural or man-made such as geometric, circular, etc. Forms are closed or open. While the former features the decor items, furniture, etc., the latter represents the space where you can easily walk.
